Another Rant :-)



I hate junk mail and e-mail, especially the former when a company uses false pretenses to try to make you open the mail instead of trashing it. In this case, the letter from a bank is made to look "official".

I love the phrases they use: "DATED MATERIAL - IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUESTED." Right below is a fake UPC code and in the lower right hand corner is a purported message to the U.S. Postal Service: "U.S. MAIL: The enclosed documents are intended solely for the addressee listed and should be opened by the aforementioned only."

Here's what you do if you get the letter and it has a postage-paid envelope: you cross out the form and send it back. Yes, that does satisfy me and is worth my time.
