How Different Are We From Ants?

Very different. But we share very similar biological traits, and at least some of our behavior is the same, particularly the way we form groups to wage warfare and survive. In the end, that's what life is about: to survive and pass on our genes. That's not meant to take away anything from the human spirit, but in the end we are just machines that spread genes in the endless struggle for life and domination, just like any of the millions of other species of plants, fungi, and animals (and on a larger scale, bacteria, archaea, and eucarya).
